Board and Commission Openings Serving on a City board or commission provides a wonderful opportunity for you to influence how our community looks and operates.  There are many volunteer opportunities in our community and recently, we've faced challenges in filling vacancies on our boards and commissions.  If you--or someone you know--is interested in greater participation in Iowa City government, consider participating on a board or commission. Openings are  regularly posted on the  City's website.
